Review: After my first few bottles of Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend I decided it was time to try some other Cigar Blend whiskies and the one I came across frequently was Dalmore Cigar Malt. Dalmore, coming from the Highland region of Scotland, is a single malt whiskey that is aged in ex-bourbon, ex-cabernet sauvignon and ex-olorso sherry barrels that are blended together and bottled at 88 proof. Despite the lower proof, this bottle packs a flavorful punch both on the nose and the palate. Although I am yet to pair it with a cigar I have a feeling this will hold its own and help compliment a flavorful stogie.

My Rating:

Ratings Scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
