Review: I picked up this Single Barrel Cask Strength Rebel Kentucky Bourbon after seeing it on the shelves at a small grocery store in Goldendale Washington that I typically stop in once a month or store when I’m in town for work. Priced at under $50 a bottle it seemed like too good of a deal to pass up for a high proof heated bourbon. I was surprised at the dark and rich characteristics I got on the nose and taste and how little “wheat funk” I noticed. If you are in the market for a higher proof wheated bourbon and can find a single barrel from Rebel it may be worth your hard earned money. Cheers!

My Rating:Sip it!

Ratings Scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
