Review: I have been a long time fan and supporter or Pendleton products coming out of Hood River Distillery in my former home state of Oregon. Their sourced Canadian Whisky is one of the whiskies that initially got me into whiskey so it will forever hold a soft spot in my heart.
Because of this I was excited when I heard about their new 10 year old bourbon being released. After chatting with a few liquor store employees who all had glowing reviews I picked up a bottle and opened it soon after getting it home. A 10 year old bourbon for less than $50 is a good value but I did not feel like the whiskey drank as old as it said. It is a bit more on the savory side of bourbons in my opinion and I tend to lean toward the sweeter stuff. I would be curious to see what the mash bill is but Hood River Spirits tends not to disclose a lot of info on their spirits.
All that being said it is still an enjoyable pour and a favorite at many of my home parties. Cheers!
