Review: I came across Monkey Shoulder fairly early in my whiskey journey. I was already familiar with the bold smoke of Islay Scotches so the sweet maltiness of Monkey Shoulder took me a while to warm up to. At first all I taste was Honey Nut Cheerios but eventually I began to get past the malt flavor to unpack more of what this budget friendly bottle has to offer. This is a great daily sipper and makes for a wonderful Scotch Highball Cocktail.

My Rating: Stock it if you want a good budget friendly blended malt. Cheers!
