Review: This bottle of Old Pali Road was gifted to me by a friend of mine after her travels to Hawaii. I was very excited to read on the bottle that they were distilling whiskey on the island of Oahu. After doing a bit of research I learned that there was a good chance the amount of Hawaiian distillate in the bottle was only 5% and the remaining whiskey was a 5 year old American Whiskey with no mash bill or source readily present. The whiskey taste very young and has an almost astringent oak note and slight sweetness.
I hope the distillery is working on adding more or creating their own whiskies that will have a bit more age to them to help up the flavors and get away from the saw dust vibes. Cheers!
My Rating: Shoot it!
Ratings Scale:

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk
-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.
-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
