Review: I was a little leery to pick up this bottle of High West Double Rye after hearing it’s sourced contents had a fair amount of 2 year rye in it. But for the sub $40 price I decided to roll the dice. Thankfully the folks at High West have done a wonderful job of blending these two ryes together. The oak is present but the grain character shines through. It is well balanced and sweet enough for me to enjoy neat or in a cocktail. This was a welcome edition to my bar. Cheers!

My Rating: Stock it!

Ratings Scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
