Review: This bottle of Wilderness Trail was left behind for me after a bottle share event I hosted. I have only had 1 other Wilderness Trail offering which I did enjoy. The 24% wheat in the mash bill leaves a surprisingly savory note to me and I do not get much of the “wheat funk” that I tend to find in other wheated bourbons. It is approachable despite its 100 proof and would likely make for a delicious cocktail. Cheers!

My Rating: Sip it!

Ratings Scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
