Tin Cup 10 year Bourbon

My Price: $54.95

Country/Area: USA/Colorado

Distillery: MGP

Proof/ABV: 84 Proof/ 42% ABV

Mash Bill: 66% Corn 34% Rye ?

Barrel: New American Oak

Age: 10 years

Nose: Wet Hay, Must and Carmel

Taste: Cereal Grain, Vanilla and Stone Fruit

Review:

The nose disappoints probably due to the low proof but it packs a punch in the flavor department. I love the look of the bottle and the ability to pop the tin cup off of the bottle to take a shot whenever you feel like it is nice. That being said it does not hold up to the $55 price point in my opinion. It is a delicious pour but I feel like there are 10 year options such as Eagle Rare (where you can find it) and Russel’s Reserve 10 year. If you come across a bottle it is worth checking out. Cheers!

My Rating: Sip it!

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
