Review: I have been a big fan of The Distillarium for years now so when I came across this 6 year old rye for less than $50, I jumped at the chance to buy it. The Distillarium uses locally sourced grains, distills, ages and bottles everything right in Yakima Washington. The resulting whiskies do not give off the same “craft” vibes I typically get from other Washington Craft Whiskies. This rye has very classic baking spice and herbal notes while being slightly sweet and very approachable in my opinion. Cheers!
My Rating: Stock it!
Ratings Scale:
-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?
-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk
-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.
-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
