Review: As a long time Angel’s Envy fan, I was excited to see a new Rye offering. Their standard offering Rye finished in Rum casks is one of my favorite whiskies. Admittedly, I am not typically a fan of French Oak finished whiskies due to the spice they tend to bring to the party. Angel’s Envy Small Batch Rye does a great job of balancing an already spicy whiskey with a touch of additional spice from the French Oak barrels. The only thing holding this whiskey back from a higher score is its price. Cheers!

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?
-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk
-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.
-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
