-Review: I initially picked up this REI Helix for a friend for Christmas. He was looking for a warmer and lighter pad and after hearing the glowing reviews of the Helix from Justin Outdoors I decided to pick one up on a great sale. My buddy took it out a number of times and enjoyed it but had his eyes set on my new Trekology R7 pad that was larger and thicker. After I shot my Trekology review I decided to trade him for the Helix. The Helix in its regular wide version is the perfect size for me. It allows me enough room to toss and turn without falling off the pad and without being significantly longer than I need. Add in its 4.9 R value and baffled design and you have a pad that is a great bang for the buck. Cheers!
